Phil is a Director and Financial Advisor with The Ragen Group. He joined McAdams Wright Ragen in 2011 and became part of Baird in 2014. As a partner with The Ragen Group, Phil specializes in portfolio management, relationship management, and advanced financial planning, working closely with clients to help them achieve financial health.

From 2022 through 2025, Phil served on Baird’s Financial Advisor Advisory Council (FAAC), which represents the firm’s financial advisors and advocates for initiatives designed to enhance the client experience. In 2024, Phil was elected President of the FAAC.

Phil earned his bachelor’s degree from Gonzaga University in 2001 and began his career at Wells Fargo, where he spent nine years managing retail banking branches across Washington and Oregon. During that time, he developed extensive leadership, operational, and client service experience. In 2011, seeking a more direct and personal impact in the lives of his clients, Phil joined The Ragen Group as a partner and Financial Advisor.

Deeply committed to the Puget Sound community, Phil has an extensive record of volunteer service. In 2016, he joined the Board of the Kindering Center, an organization dedicated to supporting children with special needs from birth to age three. In recognition of his community impact, Phil was awarded the Brooks G. Ragen Community Service Award in 2018, honoring a Pacific Northwest Baird associate for outstanding service to the nonprofit community. The award reflected his years of leadership at Kindering, where he served as a Board Member from 2016 to 2025, including as Board President from 2020 to 2025, as well as his role organizing Baird’s volunteer efforts for the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle. He currently volunteers as a soccer coach for Mercer Island FC and as a baseball and softball coach for Mercer Island Little League.

He lives in Mercer Island, Washington, with his wife, Meghan, their two children, Jack and June, and their two dogs.
